It’s no accident that I worked in the tech space. Since my parents ordered our first PC to the release of the RAZR, I’ve always been fascinated with technology and the impact it has on the way we each live, work, learn, and play. That same fascination remains true today, but it has evolved a bit to innovation across all industries. From virtual smart assistants in the home to leveraging algorithms to deliver personalized content, developments in the tech space continue to advance our lives. How dope is that!?

 

My background spans across sales, e-commerce merchandising, social media marketing, and brand management. At each point, I enjoy being a part of the team that delivers exciting new experiences.


mwc barcelona

MWC Barcelona (formally Mobile World Congress), is one of the world’s largest tech shows. It’s where business happens, products are launched, and brands come state their vision for the future.

At MWC Barcelona 2019, I helped to educate visitors on what Lenovo’s vision is and what that means in the world. As the sole customer product tour ambassador, I lead over 100 guest through the space first visiting the “Rube Goldberg Experience” and then visiting each demo area relevant to the particular audience. Some of these tours were more general while others were specifically tailored to topics like “Transformative A.I.” and “5G NFV”. All too much fun to be called work.

Consumer electronics show

Playing with gadgets and talking about how cool they are? Sign me up.

CES is arguably the most exciting electronics show on the planet. As a Lenovo Ambassador Lite, I had the opportunity to host Lenovo customers providing them with a tour of product showcase area.

First learning about the customer’s business and problems that they were trying to solve, I then tailored tours and product demos that address their specific needs where possible. The challenge here is having a ton of information in the toolbox, but holding back to not overwhelm the guests. The reward is seeing their face light up when I’d translate a product innovation into a realistic use case for them. That’s the magic. That’s the fun.

A real dream come true.

 

Lenovo Tech World, NIO EP9

While supporting social activation of Lenovo Tech World in Shanghai, I gathered information about the NIO EP9 into a script that would translate into a digestible 60 second video. The challenge here was ensuring that I highlighted key features of this impressive vehicle while simultaneously explaining the partnership between Lenovo and NIO. For some reason, I didn’t get a free electric car out of this, but maybe one day….
